As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our risk and control framework to support sustainable and compliant growth.We are looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist who will play a key role in ensuring that our products, processes and operations meet the highest regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams - Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Business - to provide guidance on regulatory topics and help embed a strong compliance culture across the company.This role is ideal for someone who combines solid regulatory expertise with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset, and who thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment.What you will doHorizon scanning and advisoryMonitor regulatory developments relevant to payment institutions (PSD2, AMLD, CCD2, EMD2, EBA Guidelines, Banca d’Italia provisions, GDPR, DORA);Support the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements across the business;Partner with Product and Tech teams to assess regulatory impacts on new features and changes.Compliance FrameworkContribute to the design, update and rollout of policies, procedures, and internal guidelines;Support the annual Compliance Plan and perform second-line controls on key processes (incidents, outsourcing, safeguarding, complaints, etc.);Identify potential compliance gaps and follow up on remediation plans;Monitoring & ReportingPrepare compliance reports and insights for the Head of Compliance;Support regulatory reporting activities towards the competent authorities (Banca d’Italia, UIF, EU regulators);Collaborate during internal and external audits, providing documentation and clarifications as needed.Cross-functional CollaborationAct as a trusted advisor to business and tech teams, helping them balance innovation and regulatory expectations;Promote compliance awareness across the organization through training and regular communication;Assist in developing and help deliver compliance training programs for employees.What we’re looking forMust-haves5+ years of experience in compliance roles within a payment institution, electronic money institution, bank, or regulated fintech;Strong knowledge of PSD2, DORA, GDPR, CCD2, EBA Guidelines, and local regulatory requirements;Experience engaging with regulators and managing compliance obligations end-to-end;Analytical mindset with the ability to translate regulations into practical business requirements;Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
