Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Sustainable Agriculture Consultant City:  Genova Location:  Genova, IT, 16129 Rozzano, IT, 20089 Contract Type:  Permanent Division:  ESG & Sustainability Level of experience:  Intermediate RINA is currently recruiting for a Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to join its office in Genoa or Milan - Italy within the ESG & Sustainability Division.Mission The Resource Efficiency and Management Unit of RINA is seeking a highly motivated resource with experience in the agribusiness sector to support the team in the management and technical development of projects with focus on agro-energy and sustainable agriculture. Working in our headquarters in Genoa or Milan Office, the successful candidate shall have strong interest in bioenergy, energy transition, decarbonization, circular and green economy topics, good communications skills and a strong teamwork attitude. Key Accountabilities The new resource will be part of team heading energy and resource efficiency challenges and, he/she will: Participate in the Team activities in the framework of agro-energy projects for the sustainable production of biofuels, supporting the management of the entire agro-supply chain and contributing to the evaluation of new agri-feedstocks, with particular interest in production of vegetable oils, and in the categorization within the European biofuels’ regulation framework Participate in the Team activities in the framework of sustainable food and agriculture projects, contributing to all four pillars of food security (availability, access, utilization and stability) and the dimensions of sustainability (environmental, social and economic) Interact actively with international colleagues, partners, and customers to support the project technical activities related to agro-topics Contribute to deliver high-quality technical reports and results Support the team in general management of the projects meeting client’s requests Promote new business opportunities and participate to project proposal writing #LI-MT3 Qualifications Degree in Agronomic / Environmental sciences The knowledge of ISCC Certification or other similar standards is a plus The knowledge of Food Security is a plus At least 3 years of working experience in agribusiness Previous experience in a consultancy company is a plus English and Italian advanced level; other languages knowledge will be a plus (especially French) Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents Ability to manage multiple assignments, proactive to meet short deadlines Availability for business trips within and outside the EU Interest and curiosity in energy and resource efficiency sector Advanced knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point We’ll provide you with the opportunity to Learn and develop personally - both on the job and through formal training Be part of a young, dynamic and motivated team Work with a wide selection of prestigious clients with exciting and impactful assignments, Develop a network of contacts in many countries around the world and work on international assignments Develop your experience in several projects in the green economy field (e.g. sustainable agriculture, agro-energy, bioenergy, climate change, decarbonization, energy efficiency, circular economy, green finance, etc.) With over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
