Quality Assurance Engineer I (Full Time Contractor), Ops and Transportation
Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black‑box testers; they understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting tools and/or user‑level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help. They are responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail, developing test strategy and planning, creating test cases, driving the test case sign‑off process with stakeholders, contributing to code‑level unit tests, and performing test execution and reporting.
Key Job Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in manual testing
Experience in automation testing
Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)
Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in API & Mobile testing
Experience in Front‑end testing
