As a trusted partner to our military customers, we design, develop and operate systems that bring together service members from across the globe to help you train like you fight.Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Program Level Technical Writer to support US Sixth Fleet (C6F). The ideal candidate is someone willing to relocate or who already resides in Naples, Italy.ResponsibilitiesWrite, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as contracts, performance work statements, technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications.Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing subject matter experts, observations, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.Oversee preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.Conduct quality review of materials.Minimum Qualifications6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.Minimum three years’ experience on Combatant Command or Service Component Staff.Ability to understand contract requirements and language.Ability to engage professionally with the client at the contracting officer/COR level.Ability to build working relationships with Task Order technical leads and leaders in various program management offices.Ability to manage deadlines.Ability to give professional presentations both in person and in virtual environments.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Word, Excel, and Power Point.Better than average command of the English language.Active SECRET clearance required.Preferred RequirementsExperience as former contracting officer or contracting officer representative (COR) or similar experience in the military acquisition's environment.Physical RequirementsWork environment is a modern office physically located at Building C41, U.S. Naval Support Activity, Naples, Italy.
